Workers Welfare Conference

With the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 around the corner, what does the  situation look like, regarding the expatriate workers who participated in the  establishment and preparation of the infrastructure for the facilities of the World Cup or the infrastructure of the State of Qatar?
The conditions of workers have been the subject of widespread controversy internally and globally during the past ten years. During this period deep labor reforms took place in the State of Qatar, evolving laws, legislations and major companies in the country as well as the charitable organizations that provide care and attention.
Dar Al-Sharq was part of that movement, thanks to its launch of the platform for workers’ welfare conferences, of which 7 previous editions were held. Also, Dar published books on all the developments of workers’ affairs and
the reforms undertaken by the State over the years.
Now, a few days before the start of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, what does the picture look like?
Dar Al Sharq launches the 8th Conference on Labor and Workers under the title “Close Look and an impact beyond the World Cup ”. Speakers from government agencies, private sector and international organizations will paint a comprehensive picture of the conditions of workers on the eve of the launch of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The book (Workers Welfare in its 7th edition) will also be launched and the winners of the Workers’ Welfare Awards will be announced
