In 1986, a select group of visionary business leaders came together with a strategic outlook and forward-looking ambition to advance Qatar’s media landscape. Out of this aspiration, Dar Al Sharq was founded, beginning with the reissue of Al Sharq newspaper, followed by the establishment of Dar Al Sharq for Printing, Publishing and Distribution, which evolved into a comprehensive institutional home for the nation’s press and media tools.
Since then, Dar Al Sharq has experienced continuous development and rapid expansion, solidifying its position as Qatar’s largest and most prominent integrated media institution—one distinguished by its reputation, influence, and enduring impact on the national media arena.
