QATAR - Oman Investment Forum & Exhibition 17-18 May 2023، Sheraton - Muscat

Thanks to the solid economic and political relations between the two countries, Qatari investments in the Sultanate of Oman are growing steadily. This dates back about five years ago. Statistics show that the trade balance doubled seven times in 2021, more than in 2016. The Qatari companies registered in Oman doubled to reach 200 companies. During these years, two shipping lines were opened, linking the port of Hamad in Qatar with Salalah and Al-Dagham in the Sultanate. Industrial and real estate projects were opened with huge Qatari investments, and the Sultanate of Oman was the leading supplier of raw materials (Gabbro) used in the construction and completion of infrastructure in the State of Qatar before the start of the World Cup.

In light of the above, we conclude that the development of these economic and trade relations between the two countries requires more interaction and dialogue between the various sectors in the two countries, highlighting the capabilities and clarifying the available opportunities, as well as conducting dialogue and discussions about the procedures used to facilitate the entry of the anticipated Qatari investments.

Dar Al Sharq took advantage of the apparent desire to develop these relations at political and economic levels to launch its first exhibition in the Sultanate of Oman next May in cooperation with the Omani Al Roya newspaper, which has enormous capabilities in the field of organizing exhibitions and conferences.
